Safe way to delete data from Android phones

If you have been preparing to sell your old phone, or are thinking about giving it to your favorite person, in this case you want to make sure that all your personal data is completely deleted. If you have an Android phone, then all the data can be completely deleted by implementing the suggestions given below.

One thing to note is that it is not necessary that the steps suggested by us will apply to every phone. It will depend on your device's manifactor and version of Android.

micro SD card
You must first decide about MicroSD card. If your old phone has a microSD card, you can use it in your new phone too. By doing so, most data such as photos and videos will be easily migrated.

If your new phone does not have a MicroSD card slot, or if you do not want to use your old card for any reason, then you should format all your data by formatting your SD card. However, make a backup of all your photos and videos before this.

1. Connect your phone to the computer via USB cable. If you have a Mac then first install the Android File Transfer app on it.

2. Open My Computer on your PC or Finder on your Mac.

3. From here on the SD card, copy all the files and save them on your computer.

4. Once the data is copied, you can remove your phone from the computer.

Now you can format your memory card.

1. Go to Settings on your phone and select Storage.

2. Scroll down and tap Erase SD card. After this, you will get a warning message that says you will lose all your data by doing this.

3. Then tap on the Erase SD card button to proceed. If your SD card is password-protected, you will need to enter the PIN to proceed.

But some people can recover your files from formatted SD cards, and the easiest way to deal with this problem is to "layering". Put some more data into your formatted card, then delete it, and repeat this process two-three times. By doing this, your original data will disappear forever.

For example, if you have format your 2 GB microcode card, then connect it to your computer again. Copy the file of about 2 GB to it. And delete this file immediately. Repeat this process two to three times. You will not be able to do more than 10 minutes to do this, and you can easily sell your card.

How to backup data
First of all, make sure you do not lose your contacts and photos. One good thing with Android is that you need a Google Account to setup a phone, and with this, your device's backup begins to be started. Follow this process to make sure it is happening or not.

1. Go to Settings on your phone. Select backup and reset there.

2. You may be able to see Back up my data option. Make sure it's tick.

3. Go back to the previous page. Scroll down to reach the accounts option then tap on Google.

4. You may be able to see your Google Account which was used to set up the phone. There will also be a green sink symbol next to it. Now tap on the account.

5. Make sure that all options are selected. After that calendar, contacts, email and photos via your Google Account will automatically be backed up on Google+.

6. By the way all versions of Android do not automatically back up photos. We checked the Samsung Galaxy Note model of 2011 but there was no option in it. There, this option is in Moto E, launched last year. If your phone does not have this feature, then you have to make backups on your computer via USB.

7. Connect the rest of the media files to your computer by connecting the phone to the PC via USB cable. By following the instructions in the SD card section, you can backup the files to your computer.

Under this option, many of your app's application data will also be backed up. For this backup, your app needs to be registered with the Android operating system, it is also possible that many of your apps do not support this feature. We suggest you to manually backup your favorite apps' app data.

Delete all
Now that you have backed up all the data, you may feel free to delete the data from your phone. You can delete the data by following the suggestions given.

First of all, follow the suggested tips above and fully format the SD card. If you want to keep using that SD card in the future, keep it safe.

You can also delete everything from your phone via factory reset, but some people can recover the deleted data too. If you want to ensure that no deleted data is returned, then you must enable hardware encryption. Most people can start pointing to point 1 and 2 and straight from the third point.

1. Go to Settings. Select Security and Tap on Encrypt Phone. This process takes much time, so you can connect your phone to the charger.
